Bug Description

Not really a feature request more a suggestion for better OS integration.
It would be nice to use the Library/Application Support instead of placing
things like extensions, fonts a.s.o. into the package on OS X.
By know all this things are gone after you update your installation.

Greetings Lena

Hi. Could you specify what you added to the package and what disapeared after an update? extensions are indeed a good candidate to be in Lib/App Support. Fonts on the other hand should absolutely not go into the app bundle.
Moving stuff to standard locations is indeed planned.

Just wanted to point out that there is also the folder ~/Library/Preferences. This directory is for storing per-app Preferences, usually (but not necessarily) in Apple’s XML-based *.plist format.

~/Library/Application Support/ is for most other things.

There’s also folders for apps that are simply located in ~/Library/<application>/, but I’m fuzzy on what these are for.
