Bug Description

i just updated console-tools (and maybe the other console-* i guess) from breezy
(version 0.2.3dbs-56) and it appears that at boot time, when it runs
/etc/init.d/keymap.sh i get this error :

loadkeys: /etc/console/boottime.kmap.gz:985: killkey called with bad index 255

i tried to do an sudo install-keymap fr (i have a fr keyboard) and i get the
same error.

confirmed and it's mdz reminder bug:

Germany layout, on a ppc, kubuntu is installed.
Upgraded a while ago from hoary to breezy.
While booting I get the following warning.

loadkeys: /etc/console/boottime.kmap.gz:961: addkey called with bad index 255
 * Problem when loading /etc/console/boottime.kmap.gz, use install-keymap

This seems to be arch independent, I also have the same bug x86, running breezy
with a "us" keyboard.

This is due to some kernel defines changing between the old (pre-2.6.1) and new
(2.6.11.2) versions of the headers that we're compiling against. I still have
to work out where the correct fix really belongs, but this should be worked
around reasonably well by tomorrow.

Adam,

I've uploaded a new l-k-h with your patch. Thanks for pinging me - I was
preparing a new upload anyway. =)

Tks,
