Bug Description

I have installed Hoary on my pentium 4 computer. Everything, except the sound,
is working.

I don't know ecxactly if CMI8768 is surported by alsa 1.0.8, but I belive.
Is it an error I can expect will be solve by the release/update to alsa 1.0.9,
or is it an Hoary error. (I have only testet with Kubuntu Live, and get the same
error.

I get these errors:
Failed to construct test pipeline for 'ALSA - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture'

Today I have testet my sound with Knoppix 3.8 (kernel 2.6.11), and the sound did
not work either.

1.0.8 does not adequately support the 8768 chipset, but 1.0.9 does (snd-cmipci,
cf. https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=370). Bug will be
closed once 1.0.9 is merged from Debian Sid/experimental->Ubuntu Breezy.
