Not only vmware, I installed docker, docker networks are also showing up. These networks cannot control by GUI and only advanced users will use these kind of virtual networks. I'm 100% sure they know how to ifconfig, so no point of keeping those there.

Should this also be the case in the plug?

I'd be tempted to say yes.

Should this be fixed in the current release of Loki now? I'm still seeing all of my Docker virtual networks showing up, and in turn no longer showing the wifi icon in the network indicator even though that's my Internet connection.

My wingpanel-indicator-network version is: wingpanel-indicator-network/xenial,now 2.0.1+r192+pkg11~ubuntu0.4.1

Note that it is fixed in Switchboard for me, I don't see all of the virtual networks there.

Scratch my last comment, all of the Docker virtual networks are showing up both in Switchboard and Wingpanel for me.
