Middle-clicking application icon in switcher, doesn't close it

Accepted unity into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/7.4.0+16.04.20160526.1-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

After adding proposed, this: sudo apt-get install unity/xenial-proposed, is still not working. Am I missing something?

Did you do
sudo apt-get update
before
sudo apt-get install unity/xenial-proposed
?
