Bug Description

The moment HWP is enabled by writing MSR 0x770 to 0x01, the system freezes.
This can be reproduced on two lenovo models
Yoga 260
Carbon X1 4th generatio

I'd like to see this patch make it into linux-next at least before I apply it. Kernel freeze isn't until April 7.

The patch is merged into v4.6-rc2 kernel in time. Please back port it into 16.04.

Since 15.10 has SKL HW-P support also, this patch should be backported into 15.10 kernel also.

Which precise package do I install on Wily 15.10. Using aptitude, under the section kernel / main, there is only the package for version 4.2.0-36.
