Version 9.10.2 of open-vm-tools has been released, available on github: https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/tree/stable-9.10.2

Thanks for reporting.

I see that 9.10.2 has been packaged in Debian already. Note that the currrent version in Ubuntu (2:9.4.6-1770165-8ubuntu1) has some Ubuntu-specific patches which means the package will likely need to be merged manually.
