Bug Description

When a program itself calls gdk_set_program_class(), passing --class on the command line is a no-op.

Gnome-terminal does this to change it's WM_CLASS from gnome-terminal-server to gnome-terminal. Many people use --class in a custom desktop file to use profiles as applications. While this is not needed in newer versions of gnome-terminal (it has --app-id now), it makes sense to support this for backwards compatibility.

  * debian/patches/allow-overriding-WM_CLASS-from-the-command-line.patch:
    support --class even when the program calls gdk_set_program_class().
    Needed for gnome-terminal profile-as-app backwards compat (LP: #1443273)
