Would it be possible to describe this "bug" more precise? Because I think it is talking about lack of GUI VPN configuration in Loki. But is it really?

I agree, on Freya when you installed the "network-manager-openvpn" package it integrated with the network indicator and offered the network manager VPN management. In Loki it does not work at all (no VPN submenu there). Such functionality should not be removed. We can work with openvpn from the command line but why when we have Elementary OS :)

I have some problems with openVPN configurations. I downloaded mine from Private Internet Access and when using them with openvpn --config it works as long as I run it as root.
Now I tried to import them through the new tab in the network settings and that seems to work. But when I try to activate the new connection I get the attached error message.
It is in german, so here is what it says:
The VPN connection "Germany" could not connect, because starting the VPN service failed.
If you need a log, please tell me and I'll post it too.
