Bug Description

As a user, subscribing & from team mailing lists is an important function of managing my launchpad account. However, it's very difficult to find the '+editemails' page. The only way I've found is to:

1) Go to a team page I'm part of (https://launchpad.net/~canonical-ci-engineering)
2) click the 'Subscribe to mailing list' link, which finally takes me to (https://launchpad.net/~thomir/+editemails)

Ideally, there'd be a "Manage mailing list subscriptions" link from your user page, perhaps right next to the 'Manage commercial subscriptions' link.

Sounds like a nice, simple usability improvement. That's needlessly awkward!

ugh - I just realised that you can click the 'pencil' icon next to the 'emails' heading to get to the +editemails page.

I still think this is too hidden - perhaps we can make that a textual link?

I wouldn't say no if the mailing list subscriptions ended up on a separate page entirely. It's particularly annoying now since +editemails has special security rules that require that you re-2FA to access it, which shouldn't be necessary for mailing list changes.

OK - this is a first pass. I removed the 'pencil' icon next to the email header, and added the same link below the email addresses. This keeps it somewhat consistent with the 'add PPA' link in the PPA section. it hink the full text link makes it more obvious what the link does....

feedback?

OK, second pass - moved mailing list subscription to a separate page...

comment on the placement of the 'edit mailing list subscription' link?

I think if you're going to show one function as a textual link you should show both functions (change e-mail settings, manage mailing list subscriptions) that way. Otherwise the eye is drawn away from the pencil icon next to "Email:", so if what you're actually trying to do is to change your e-mail settings you may well end up in the wrong place.

After reading Colin's suggestion, we could do something like the attached screenshot (or maybe without the pencil next to the heading as well?)

I think I'd put the links on separate lines personally, and indeed drop the pencil icon next to the heading. Otherwise it looks good to me.
