the package fails to build with the following :

95/95 Test #3: validate-deja-dup.appdata.xml ............***Failed 252.85 sec
THIS TOOL IS *DEPRECATED* AND WILL BE REMOVED SOON.
Please use 'apstream-util validate' in appstream-glib.

/build/buildd/deja-dup-32.0/obj-x86_64-linux-gnu/deja-dup/deja-dup.appdata.xml 2 problems detected:

99% tests passed, 1 tests failed out of 95

appdata-validate is deprecated (though it still runs) and is replaced by appstream-util validate-relax

For some obscur reason, a local build and/or PPA build work but it does FTBS for the archive.

The following debdiff should fix the test for good and use the new appstream-util validate-relax syntax as outlined here :
