Bug Description

Once ubiquity shows in a new install, the default background that is used in GNOME is missing, rendering a very dark blue background. Existing installations of Vivid that had a background set and was using the default wallpaper has also disappeared after restarting.

Once installation is complete, the blue background still persists.
