Bug Description

Surface contents visibly lag behind for a frame or so when toggling full screen.

You will see for a brief moment the client rendering at the wrong (smaller) size even though the frame is fullscreen.

I think this is to be expected right now, but we should aim to improve on it later.

Although the branch is likely to get renamed in future too.

Still a problem, but a very minor problem. Similar resize lag also exists in most desktop environments, like Unity 7, Windows 10 and ChromeOS. And arguably we should not try to fix it at all.

Although the number of frames lag will soon be minimized (lp:~vanvugt/mir/client-side-vsync) it's still not zero. And the shell responding to user input immediately even when the client process hasn't yet is a much nicer experience than the shell lagging behind resize requests and waiting for the client.
