Bug Description
gnome-shell 3.12 includes a widget in the User Menu to adjust screen brightness, we have had this disable so far this cycle since it required gnome-settings-
It won't affect any screenshots that we have in the installer etc, and gnome-shell only has upstream translations (I believe), so the strings should likely be already translated
Here is an upstream screenshot showing the brightness slider below volume:

Hi Tim,
Trying to understand what User Menu you are referring to. Or is this a pure Ubuntu GNOME thing?
As regards ubuntu-docs, it has already been released for 14.10, so if it affects Ubuntu/Unity somehow, it will be an undocumented feature. Suppose it's ok.
