Bug Description

I tried today adding a passcode to my device, I went to system settings in "security and privacy", and from here you don't know where to tap.
I was tapping Security, which gave me a visual feedback of my tap while nothing was showing up (note to our toolkit: we need to make those listitems look different when they are a simple descriptive label with no action connected).
The solution was to tap on the entry "Lock screen -> after 1 minute", which I thought was to change the delay in time to lock my screen, but not changing instead security settings.

Expected solution:
- Add a new entry to change the security directly from security and privacy, or rename the entry "Lock screen - after 1 minute" into something that hints to further security settings.

The pattern is settings is to show some info on the right hand side of the particular option label.
The option here is actually "Lock phone" not "Lock screen", which would be pretty obviously where to set a passcode.
Will await design guidance.

This pattern is not discoverable, you see information about time, and you expect the button to change the time, not going in a sub page with other settings.

The toolkit problem with standalone labels is bug 1242666.

I can't reproduce this bug in 14.10 r179, but what you describe is what I actually designed, so I assume it's been implemented somewhere that I can't see yet.

It may be true that the "After 1 minute" summary value gives people too narrow an idea of what is inside the screen. If so, we could remove the summary value. But I'd rather see evidence that it's a problem for more people first.

Cimi was probably running with all of the UI enabled, which shows the spec'd "After 1 minute" bits. But if you just run normally, we only show what we have implemented, so you get the "Lock phone" UI (because the "after 1 minute" code isn't working).

Ignore my last comment, I see that USS recently enabled the "After 1 minute" code.

This problem was discussed recently on google+[1]. Turns out some people find the mentioned option inside Developer Mode menu faster then in Security & Privacy.

As Andrea said, by adding the "5 minutes" summary value to the "Lock phone" item, I made the item look as if it was just for the timeout and not for anything else. This was a silly mistake.

Renaming the screen to "Locking and unlocking" also makes progress in reducing the number of times the word "phone" appears in the UI.
