Bug Description

In the app scope, apps can be displayed by their logical group, in a hierarchy. Internet apps, games, word processing, etc. These groups are called departments, like a department store.

As far as I can tell, the usual term for this is "categories" instead of "departments". Not a huge issue, but a little awkward, especially for western-hemisphere folks.

A couple extra data points here, from the mailing list:

From: Nathan Haines <email address hidden>
Just as a usage note, this is perfectly identical in American English. But the
Ubuntu desktop already uses the term 'category' and "department" feels much
more suited to a physical store. (Specifically a department store.)
So that may help explain why it feels a little out of place.

From: Matthew Paul Thomas <email address hidden>
Ubuntu Software Center used to have "Departments". We switched to
"Categories" in 4.0, because that made more sense given the existence
of subcategories.

I've checked with design, and they agree to drop "Departments" there, so we'll fix this soon.
