EESCHEMA: Search field loses focus after entering a character

When searching for a component in the "add component" dialog, the search field loses its focus after a character is entered. The focus is switched to the component list. If i want to enter a search string like "pic" i have to enter a character, wait for the dialog to complete its search, then use the mouse to get back to the search field, enter the next character. Sometimes, i can enter two characters, if i am typing fast.

I am using Build 4989 built with winbuilder on a Windows 7 machine.
