Bug Description

When creating a new calendar event, the start time defaults to 00:00 and end time 00:30

This doesn't make sense as most people are not scheduling events for this time of day.

We should consider smarter default values here. Some ideas:
- start time: current hour, end time: current hour + 30 mins
- start time: 12:00 end time: 12:30

When creating a new calendar event, the start time defaults to 00:30 and end time 01:00. Or when creating a new calendar event by a long-tap, its XX:30 to XX:00 (+30).

I would prefer these simple default values:

startMinute = 0
endDate ... + 60

So that a default start time could be 12:00 and an end time 13:00.

When creating a new calendar event by clicking on +, it would be nice if the startDate was automatically set to the first free spot, so that the new event (with a given or defined default duration) was collision-free.

If impossible, it could also be 12:00 but not 24:00 or 0:30.

I am re-opening this bug as it's not fixed. When creating a new event from the toolbar, the start time defaults to 12:30am and end time 1:30am. This does not make a lot of sense from a usability perspective. It's not a very common time when people events.

New events start time should default to the current time of day and end time 1 hr later. Would be a more sensible default I think.

It's great that long pressing on the time in the day view creates an event at that time where you pressed, that is perfect.
