Bug Description

Even with a completely empty /var/crash folder, the Apport notification still constantly displays.

On a separate note, once crashes are reported, a matching ".uploaded" file appears which could be used to clear the indicator instead of having to manually empty the /var/crash folder.

Indeed, good catch. I need to clear the byobu status cache.

With the current LTS ubuntu (trusty 14.04.2 Kernel 3.13.0-55) and installed byobu Version: 5.77-0ubuntu1 the problem still exists.

putting in line 46 of /user/lib/byobu/apport

       rm -f "$BYOBU_RUN_DIR/status.$BYOBU_BACKEND/apport"*

solved the problem. See also: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kirkland/byobu/trunk/revision/2370

thanks to all around
