ii gnome-icon-theme-full 3.8.3-0ubuntu3 all GNOME Desktop icon theme
ii hicolor-icon-theme 0.12-1ubuntu2 all default fallback theme for FreeDesktop.org icon themes
ii lxde-icon-theme 0.5.0-1 all LXDE standard icon theme

The desktop environment is LXDE (lxde-core 0.5.0-4ubuntu4). I have not made any changes to the default theme configuration except for installing the themes listed in the startpost.

seems like lxde-icon-theme doesn't provide the standard icons then, reassigning there

I have made some tests and gnome-icon-theme-symbolic seems to be the only package to contain the needed icons. In this case it would maybe make more sense to make this package a dependency of evince.

If I'm not wrong and gnome-icon-theme-symbolic is really the only theme containing the needed icons shouldn't it go a dependency instead of a recommends?

I've no strong opinion either way, Recommends are installed by default and evince works without those icons (it just looks buggy) ... Depends is fine for me though
