TEST CASE:
run

no output
run System Settings and open About System, the processor space will be blank

upgrade to kde4libs_4.11.2-0ubuntu2.1
> solid-hardware query "Is Processor"
udi = '/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0'
udi = '/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1'
udi = '/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2'
udi = '/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3'
run System Settings and open About Distro, the processor space will say 4 x Intel Core i5
or similar results for your processor

Hello Jonathan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

test result:
I installed 4:4.11.2-0ubuntu2.1 from saucy-proposed and kcmshell about-distro shows the CPU details as does running `solid-hardware query "Is Processor"`

I've been using this for some days without any issues with KDE hardware control
