Standalone labels as an element distinct from group headers

Bug Description

The toolkit currently lacks a standalone label element. This is used, for example, for labels introducing controls in the many cases where a group header would be inappropriate.

I have written up a full rationale, including example wireframes, and discussed it with other designers at the patterns meeting. <http://goo.gl/F6dlNd>

The font style for standalone labels should be the same as for other labels, such as those next to checkboxes or switches.

Please fix this. Currently engineers are using list items for this, which are exactly the same color as real list items, and even respond to taps when they do nothing.

Besides naming and intention, what is the difference between a group Header and an intro label?

To me they look the same (we may have to update the font-weight and color), so app developers can use the ListItem.Header for this purpose? Naming of the component can be discussed of course (although we won't remove the Header so we don't break existing apps)

List items have a property highlightWhenPressed to prevent the visual highlight when tapped.

We have a ListItem.Header component which looks like what you are looking for, except that it makes the text look bold. If this is the only visual difference, we should consider making the font-weight a parameter instead of introducing a new component for this.

Zsombi do we have a solution for this with the new list items?

For group headers, yes, one reasonable design would be the same as standalone labels but bold.

However, a different reasonable design would be using small caps and a different color.

Whatever the design is, the theme designer should be able to change the style of all group headers at once, without affecting standalone labels. This suggests to me that it should be a separate element.

If this was HTML, an intro label would be
...
, while a group header would be
...
. People sometimes use
...
for headings, but that's a bad idea because it's hard to restyle them later.

The new items are not having any content. Header element API could be extended to access the label within, so colour, font styles and other properties can be accessed/configured freely.
