Bug Description

Very frequently the indicator displays a daytime icon (e.g. sun, sun with clouds, etc.) even though it is nighttime. This happens using any weather service, and despite the sunrise/sunset being correct. Even if the program is restarted, the same incorrect set of icons appears.

It does occasionally show a moon or whatever is the proper nighttime icon, but rarely. I have not yet noticed any patterns as to when it displays correctly and when not.

I'm using version 0.6.5 (on Ubuntu 13.04). I never have a problem before that I can remember.

The attached patch should fix the problem.

I should also add that in the morning, well after the sunrise, my-weather-indicator still displays nighttime icons.

Thanks for the update, but the problem still seems to be present. It's currently 10:40pm at night where I am and my-weather-indicator shows a sun icon, despite the fact that it set an hour and a half ago. I'm now on 0.6.8-0extras14.04.2. Should I file a separate bug?

Hm, I just realized it might have something to do with the weather services. If I select Yahoo the icon correctly shows that it's night, but not Weather Underground (even though it gives the correct sunrise and sunset times).

Except on my wife's computer, also using Weather Underground, it correctly shows a moon icon. I have no clue what's wrong with mine...

Nevermind, she was using an old version. See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/my-weather-indicator/+bug/1337425
