Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

Gutsy Tribe 1 on this hardware: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HP_Pavilion_DV8220EA

Selecting 'System > Administration > System Monitor' fails to start the monitor and doesn't invoke apport

Terminal:

duncan@ubuntu:~$ gnome-system-monitor
gnome-system-monitor: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpangomm-1.4.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN4Glib13wrap_registerEjPFPNS_10ObjectBaseEP8_GObjectE
duncan@ubuntu:~$

I get exactly the same trying to run Inkscape:

duncan@ubuntu:~$ inkscape
inkscape: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpangomm-1.4.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN4Glib13wrap_registerEjPFPNS_10ObjectBaseEP8_GObjectE
duncan@ubuntu:~$

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to report the bug. I haven't been able to reproduce this bug on Gutsy, could you try to run an apt-get update, and then an upgrade; to see if this resolves the problem. Should it persist, can you please provide a backtrace (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace) I suspect that the release several hours ago that fixed inkscape also cured this bug.

Thanks,
Justin
