Move to a specific day, click new event, event is added to today not the day you are in

Bug Description

Steps:
1. Open Calendar
2. Select a day that isn't today in the month veiw
3. Pull up the options
4. Select new event
5. Add details to the event
6. Save the event
7. Goto today's date

Expected result:
I expect to see the event in the specified day

Actual Result:
The new event has been saved in today rather than the specified day.
