Byobu overwriting various bash settings

Bug Description

byobu version 5.52
Screen version 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06

It seems that the latest version on byobu is overwriting many settings inherited from bash including color scheme, PS1 format (especially annoying as I have some functions tied into my PS1), and, upon ssh, completely resetting my terminal colors. What information can I provide to help better debug this one?

Additional information: Sourcing my .bashrc doesn't help. I can see that some of the stuff in it is being obeyed (such as my ssh alias which attempts (now failing) to change the title of a window upon ssh-ing), but anything that would interact with coloring, PS1, or byobu fails to actually do anything.

Can you try running:

byobu-disable-prompt

And then exit, and re-enter byobu, and see if that fixes it?

Dustin,
That did work. I see that it removed a line from my bashrc; I didn't realize that byobu added anything in there. Thanks for the help.

You bet!

I'll try to clean this up a little bit. I have an idea of how I might
introduce this less offensively ;-)

Thanks for the bug!

Cheers,
Dustin
