Bug Description

My problem: Go to System settings->Universal Access. I can enable/disable zoom with Alt+Super+8, but pressing Alt+Super+=/- doesn't do anything.

Similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/945813 , but it seems I can't change its state.

That says: This bug was fixed in the package gnome-control-center - 1:3.3.91-0ubuntu2

This bug still exists in saucy and raring:

Expected results:
User presses "Alt" + "Super" + "=" to zoom in
User presses "Alt" + "Super" + "-" to zoom out

Actual results:
Nothing happens.

For users that depend on these services, simply hiding the ability to zoom in or out doesn't seem like a very good solution. I understand that this is an upstream package, but choosing to fix this is leaving a lot of ubuntu users in the mud.

---------------
gnome-control-center (1:3.6.3-0ubuntu43) saucy; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/unity_no_zoom_controls.patch: hide the zoom controls under
Unity. The upstream code only shows them when gnome-shell is running,
but unity takes the dbus namespace for other compat reasons which leads
to have the option even if there is no zoom backend (lp: #1205893)
