Bug Description

[In:Percona Server Documentation]

on http://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server/5.5/installation/yum_repo.html

I think we should show the example using yum install instead of rpm -Uhv , so the line would look like:

yum install http://www.percona.com/downloads/percona-release/percona-release-0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

The page is after call called "yum repository" :)

I wonder how you can you use yum to install rpm that is not in any of already configured repositories?

Hrm yes it does seem counter-intuitive, and I don't see clear mention that this is supported behaviour via the man page:

http://linux.die.net/man/8/yum

Yet it appears to be used:

Yes, it works that way (yum installs just rpms given the URL). Checked with http://rpms.famillecollet.com/enterprise/remi-release-6.rpm that I had missing. So, this request makes sense (for all versions).
