Bug Description

Hi,

I was exploring the coast, the went northwest, and then I clicked "explore the islands coast clockwise".

That was my mistake, because I was not longer at the coast, but surrounded with water.

Result, the game freezes and I had to kill the proces.

Unfortunally I can not reproduce this bug over here. And from code side of view, this should trigger an assert.
Any idea how to reproduce the bug?

I reproduced the bug.

Wat I did was the following: let the ship explore. Head to the coast. When reached the coast. you get a message. Now click a direction away from the coast, and the directly click on explore coast clockwise or anticlockwise.
The the game freezes.

Thank you for your reply P. van Tillo.
I was able to reproduce the bug the way you described it - therefore it should be quite easy to fix it.
Anyway, as I stated in #2: Widelands indeed runs into an assert - so it closes down, but does not freeze.
Any reason why the behaviour might be different at your computer? Did you use any patches to the source code? did you run Widelands in a debugger?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I do not know what assert means. For me, the game stops, there is no movement anymore.

Widelands is not closing down. I have to kill the proces.

I forgot to mension, I work with Ubuntu.

I did not use any patches to the source code, and do not run Widelands in a debugger.
