Bug Description

when starting a plasma-desktop session with settings-active installed it will export KDEDIRS to '/usr/share/kubuntu-active-default-settings/:/usr/share/plasma-active-default-settings/:/usr/share/kubuntu-default-settings/kde4-profile/default/' which in turn will pick up the autostart/plasma-desktop.desktop from active which turns off autostart.

result is that the user ends up without a plasma instance, rendering the system effectively broken.

the envrionment should probably only be changed through startactive, not an xsession script.

kubuntu-settings (1:13.10ubuntu14) saucy; urgency=low

  * [active] drop etc/X11/Xsession.d/51kubuntu-active, replaced by patch
    based setting in startactive. This also prevents active settings from
    being applied to plasma-desktop (LP: #1185503)
