Bug Description

Both chrome and firefox have a misplaced table layout for directory listing. For certain file types such as 'application/xml' and 'application/x-tar' we display text or empty image for icons and they brake the layout.

After discussing with Milo, we decided to put the default icon image next to the file types which brake the layout.

I don't think the icons selected are ideal, e.g. (http://staging.snapshots.linaro.org/android/binaries/snowball/20130117) tarball shows "sheet with lines" icons, which is suitable for plain text, but hardly a tarball. Let's try to fix this so it looked really nice, so reopening.

Part of the fix should have been committed, but not deployed in production. I'm not in the admin group on staging.snapshots.l.o, so I cannot take a look at why it is picking up the XML icon instead of the x-tar one.

Ah, spoke too fast: the images default to the text one, we just need to find a better icon.

This can be a good candidate:
