Bug Description

The desktop file in gnucash-common should be moved to /usr/share/applications to follow the freedesktop specification

The desktop file in gnucash-common should be moved to /usr/share/applications to follow the freedesktop specification. I'm also suggesting using the following categories:

Categories=GNOME;Application;Office;

The gnucash packages (gnucash, gnucash-common) do not contain a desktop file. Are you sure that the desktop file you are seeing in the wrong place came from the package?

Bug #2385 has been opened to add a .desktop file to gnucash.

On my Hoary box.

There is no gnucash.desktop in dapper
