Bug Description
[Impact]
Testdrive gets stuck on "configuring Virtual Machine" if Virtualbox 4.2 is installed and selected. This does not affect Virtualbox 4.1.
The fix is to add 4.2 to the list of versions of Virtualbox checked for as per the patch.
[Test Case]
Install Testdrive and Virtualbox 4.1 using the repository.
Launch Testdrive, Use the Edit tab --> Preferences, and select if you want to use just i386, amd64 or both.
Click on the Distributions tab to pick your flavor select the the <save> button).
Click on Virtualisation and select VirtualBox as the HyperVisor (A hint, you need only allocate 512MB of RAM). Again, select the <save> button
From the main window of Testdrive, select the flavor and architecture you wish to download for testing.
Click on the <Sync> Button (as this is the first time zsync has been used in the area, it will have to download the entire ISO).
Once the download has completed, click the <Launch> button which will start VirtualBox with the iso you have selected.
VirtualBox will launch the ISO.
Close the virtual machine and Testdrive.
Remove virtualbox 4.1 (e.g. sudo apt-get --purge remove virtualbox-4.1*)
Use the link https:/
Re-start Testdrive, go to the area which has your ISO and select <<Launch>>
The bug will manifest itself.
[Regression Potential]
Extremely low, it is a simple addition to the text line adding in that Virtualbox 4.2 is accepted as a valid system by Testdisk.
This is proposed for SRU to both quantal and precise.
