Bug Description

Please backport znc 1.0-2 (universe) from raring to quantal.

Reason for the backport:
========================
ZNC 1.0 is substantially newer than ZNC 0.206. I'd like to see the newer version in Quantal.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s raring -d quantal znc

* quantal:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] znc installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-dev installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-perl installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-tcl installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-extra installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-dbg installs cleanly and runs
[X] znc-python installs cleanly and runs

No reverse dependencies

In anticipation of this backport, I tested the package as-is from Debian (which is the current version in Raring). With no changes (see this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~trekcaptainusa-tw/+archive/znc) for building. It correctly builds.

I will be testing the installation and running today after I get back to my testing environment.

Tested everything but -dev, and it works. -dbg is just symbols and doesn't need a runtime check.

Thanks to José Antonio Rey (joseeantonior) for helping with the testing!

I'll test znc-dev now.

Confirmed znc-dev correctly installs and runs. Please note Bug #1085742, as without that being fixed, the package requires that build-essential (or the gcc and g++ compilers) be installed separately from znc-dev.

Bug #1085742 referenced in comment #4 has a solution in Debian that was included in the sync of znc 1.0-2, which is in proposed awaiting powerpc builds.

As a result, this backport request is being modified to account for znc 1.0-2 which I would like backported. I will be doing tests within the next few days for building and running.

Okay, so i've had time to test this on Quantal and everything runs. Build testing done in my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~teward/+archive/znc-1.0/+packages

NOTE: Build tests EXACTLY MATCH Debian, except for an additional changelog entry that (1) defines it as a PPA package, and (2) points it at the given release. This applies to the Precise package as well.
