Bug Description
It seems that in the grid view the icon spacing is adapted to match the longest filename in the directory. Nice idea but it makes changing folders feel very inconsistent as the grid spacing changes. For example when moving from /usr to /usr/bin the spacing changes dramatically.
In my opinnion the spacing should be fixed with long file names wrapped into multiple lines and truncated if necessary.

Yea I agree with Cody, it feels weird. We should resize the grid when the size of the window changes, but not when we change directory.
