Bug Description
The metalinks for wubi.exe (12.04.1) still point at 12.04 releases of Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Mythbuntu etc. The Kubuntu one is incorrect in another way that was also true in 12.04 wubi.exe (different bug 1004173), the lubuntu one is correct but won't work because 12.04.1 != 12.04 (different bug 1043607), but the error for Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Mythbuntu etc. fail with message: Cannot download the metalink and therefore the ISO

Workarounds for Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Kubuntu.
Download the 12.04.1 desktop CD ISO into the same folder as Wubi.exe (12.04.1).
Disconnect from internet.
Run wubi.exe to install.
Reconnect to internet prior to rebooting.
Note: lubuntu requires a different workaround (see bug 1043607).
Note: this doesn't apply to release 12.10 due out soon, only 12.04.1.
