Activity Log Manager crashes with GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_application_list_actions: assertion `application->priv->is_registered' failed

This crash occurred on my system. Apport started the bug collection but never completes and uploads the data. Just stops with no other indications.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

This happens also on Arch Linux.

I found the problem. Apparently GtkApplication isn't used properly (see patch). I've almost no experience with Vala or GTK so I can't really say why the old code was crashing, but my patch apparently fixes it.

While I'm at it, I also have a fix for the other warning. The warning is harmless though, it's just a widget that's added twice.

The attachment "patch for src/alm.vala" of this bug report has been identified as being a patch. The ubuntu-reviewers team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the patch. In the event that this is in fact not a patch you can resolve this situation by removing the tag 'patch' from the bug report and editing the attachment so that it is not flagged as a patch. I tested the patch and it did fix the segfault and warning for me.

I'll add quantal tasks for the SRU. Can you please check the status of this in raring and saucy? This can't be SRUed before it gets fixed in the development release. Thanks!

Activity Log Manager from raring proposed doesn't crash when started in standalone mode.

This bug was fixed in the package activity-log-manager - 0.9.4-0ubuntu6.2
