adept doesn't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

I've installed kubuntu 7.04 beta but when I start Adept it bloks giving this message:
"You will not be able to change your system settings in any way (install, remove or upgrade software), because another process is using the packaging system database (probably some other Adept application or apt-get or aptitude). Please close the other application before using this one".
but I never start any of the programs indicated (I think so...)

Firstly, are you running it from the menu or the command line? Can you try running 'sudo apt-get update' from the command line and see if you get any errors?
