ubuntu-mythtv-frontend does not set defaults for media player applications

There currently is support for gnome-screensaver in a patch that I added
last year. Are you sure you started gnome-screensaver *prior* to starting
mythtv-frontend?

Take a look at the output of mythfrontend when starting:

I'm not really sure what was started and when it was started. The real issue here is that I'm using the mythtv-frontend meta package. As soon as the session logs in it launches mythtv by default and quitting logs off instantly. It makes it impossible to disable the screensaver via the gui. If mythtv can't tell the screensaver not the activate then the screensaver needs to be disable for the mythtv account when this meta package is installed. It ruins the entire setup.

The frontend meta package does install the screensaver by default and spawns
it prior to the frontend. It shouldn't turn on during any video playback,
but will turn on during the menus. You were encountering it during video
playback too?

It shows up during playback in mythvideo, which was done using mplayer actually so this is more of an mplayer issue now that I think about it.

Closing the bug since, it is an mplayer configuration related item.
mplayer has an option, -stop-xscreensaver for command line usage.
Also a similar option can be added to your ~/.mplayer/config file:
stopxscreensaver = "yes"

Isn't this something that should be added in the Ubuntu mythtv-frontend configuration file by default?
