Bug Description

Build failure in PS QA lab Jenkins: the 'test-output' test has been failing consistently. Is this test useful? Please instruct in how to get working, will attach a log. Assigning to Ted as he's named in the log explicitly. Upping the priority as we'd like to get this build going, also a quick fix for this will enable libdbustest to enter a PPA for use by other projects.

Ted asked about the output to the 'cat' files for test-output--both 'cat2' files are blank. (I won't bother to attach :) .)

Hmm, I really can't make that test fail. Are all of the text files empty?

Can you attach the built version of 'test-output' to see if somethig is funny in there? Is the Jenkins accessible to me? It doesn't seem like I can find this build anywhere.

Apparently this is an intermittent failure, with some passing builds. I demonstrated a failing build with all artifacts to ted; ted remarked that cat1 is working but not cat2.

Okay, so what is happening is that the log file is only containing the output from cat1, nothing from cat2. It's all the way up the stack in that it appears dbus-test-runner is not ouputting the results from cat2. I'm curious if this is an issue with flushing the buffers incorrectly that is exposed on Jenkins. I'm disabling the test and adding a comment about this bug for now so we can unblock Jenkins, but it is not fixed and need further investigation.
