Bug Description

The VPNC wizard in Network Manager now supports hybrid authentication, which is good, but some servers reject connection attempts unless you supply a particular "Application Version". There is as yet no way to configure this field in the GUI.

For background, see bug #300628 (comments #15, #16, #34). Also see upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495893#c26

My colleage at Oracle already has this feature seen in his Debian system.
My Ubuntu 12.04 unfortunatly has no option for this, making the Network Manager for VPNC gui not usable for my work.
Hope that the known solution will be implemented in the next Ubuntu release though...
