sorry ... as you can see in the diff this assumes lp:~asac/linaro-seeds/lp670711 is merged first (and i failed to set this when filling merge form out)

could you please split this out to not depend on lp:~asac/linaro-seeds/lp670711? This switch to linaro-overlay is not controversial at all and should be done ASAP - the change to seed flash-kernel and uboot-mkimage in the seeds, however, *is* controversial.

(And there should be no need to seed devio anywhere, it's a dependency of flash-kernel.)
