Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I have seen multiple instances of the following problem:
There are web pages that contain links that have the normal appearance of links (blue color, etc), but when I point at them, the cursor does not change its shape from an arrow to a pointing finger, and clicking has no effect (I stay on the same page).
Loading the same page in Chromium works OK, including the problematic link. Other links on the same page in Firefox also work OK.

For an example, see the link "out-of-order execution" on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_barrier

That works fine here. Please try this with a fresh profile or with your user extensions disabled (Diigo Toolbar/Flashblock)

I cannot reproduce this any more, even with the same extensions/profile. If I manage to come up with a consistent scenario, I will provide the details.

I have the same problem (Natty, Firefox 4.0.1).

I have seen unclickable links in several places:
- Google Calendar event notification's "Close" link
- Facebook's X to remove a story
The problem is rare, these links work 95% of the time.

The last case is the most interesting, what is unclickable is not a particular link but a zone of the screen. If I scroll, the unclickable links are those who happen to be in this zone. See the screenshot, I draw the "unclickable zone".
