Bug Description

Availability - In Universe
Rationale - We want to remain using gnome-control-center 3.6 with our patches applied. This project is a fork of gnome-control-center so we can do that. This package will become obsolete once the Unity 8 interface is used for the converged desktop. Forking gnome-control-center allows Ubuntu GNOME to update packages they require.
Security - Code is the same as current gnome-control-center which is considered secure
Quality assurance - Same as for current gnome-control-center
UI standards - Same as for current gnome-control-center
Dependencies - Same as for current gnome-control-center
Maintanence - Will be maintained by Ubuntu Desktop team. Once migration complete gnome-control-center can move into Universe and be maintained by Ubuntu GNOME team

Mateusz - this is because it conflicts with the current gnome-control-center and due to some complex dependency chain it is installing ubuntu-system-settings and that drags in unity8. Once we upload a new version of gnome-control-center and fix the other dependencies (see bug 1257505) the upgrade will work fine.

ok, +1 for me. The packages and dependencies seem right. debian/copyright wasn't updated but I think it's similar to gnome-control-center. I trust the desktop team (us ;)) to keep it updated and backporting eventual security fixes from gnome-control-center impacting us to that project.

Feel free to have it seeded and I'll promote it to main.
